In today’s Printer’s Row, the Chicago Tribune calls This Bright River “a remarkable achievement” and a “stellar, bruising book about how place forms character and our capacity to transform ourselves.” The review (by Mark Athitakis from American Fiction Notes) is behind their paywall, so I can’t link to it, but it’s a good one. Maybe the best I’ve ever gotten.
